"Came across this place in a map from our hostel. Was so happy we found it!! Delicous burgers with a great burger and beer for 1100 yen!! Perfectly cooked and amazing service. Highly recommend for anyone that's looking for something a little different to traditional Japanese food or at least a night off from it!!

so hospitable and some of the friendliest people are meal on both occasions. The staff evening"We stayed in Takayama for 2 nights and ate here for weve met during our 3 weeks in japan. And the food is fantastic! the portions are huge and everything is really tasty, affordable and there are numerous vegetarian options. I would reccomend this place to anyone coming to Takayama looking for a great, filling meal."

“EvilTex leaves nothing to be desired in the way of TexMex in the heart of Japan. Far away from a major city, and even those considered, this is quite possibly the best Mexican food you will find in Japan. Chef Yoshi adds his own creative twist to the dishes, but if you are familiar with great Mexican food, then you will be pleasantly surprised by what he creates. The burgers are massive and the beef is tender and delicious. Everything is served up with a smile, and you would be hard pressed to find a kinder pair of business owners. Definitely a place to check out when you visit Takayama!”
